Mario, Rabbids, and LEAKS!!

This is one rumor that you either believe and are very excited for, don't believe and throw in the huge pile of rumor mill trash, or anything in between. To those who don't know, when Nintendo was getting ready to have the Nintendo Switch Presentation a lot of rumors and "leaks" started appearing all over the internet. However, there was one interesting leak that came out. According to Laura Kate Dale, Nintendo had decided to work with Ubisoft and combine the Super Mario Universe with the Raving Rabbids Universe. When I first heard this, I thought that sounded so fake... just enough to be a really good rumor and really good surprise for the presentation. It wasn't announced during the presentation but many assumed that it would be announced at E3, and a lot of signs pointed to the game being real. So as time went on, I was very intrigued with this rumor and I honestly hoped that this game would talked about at Nintendo & Ubisoft's E3 Presentations. I really wanted to see more of this game... at E3... announced by Reggie Fils-Aime, or Yves Guillemot, or Aisha Tyler. The point I'm trying to get across...

NOT FROM A RANDOM LEAK BY SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T BELIEVE IN SURPRISES!!

Admittedly, This image is AMAZING. I totally want this game now.

Before I talk about the game itself I want to talk about leaks. No leak can be qualified as a good thing, but that doesn't mean that every leak is made with ill intentions. For example, at E3 2016, the Titanfall 2 solo campaign trailer was leaked a few hours before the EA Event, that was obviously an accident that just worked out for fans. That same year someone deliberately leaked the Star Trek: Bridge Crew game way before the Ubisoft event started, and for there troubles got dissed by Aisha Tyler. (I hope she hosts this year again.) My point is, that is an example of unprofessionally and quite frankly "cruel" leaking. Companies plan how they announce things. They have a set schedule on how they feel they should advertise their game. Admittedly, sometimes they come up with bad plans but that is purely opinionated and nevertheless a plan was made. If someone leaks something, they might cause more problems. They could raise more questions than the ones they might have been trying to give answers to.

This goes into the problem with leaks similar to this one. IMAGES were leaked. Granted the images from today's specific leak were probably from a Powerpoint or info sheet thus giving information about this game, but they were still images and none of them were from any gameplay. So even with that info sheet, for all we know this game could be Shoot-Em Up with RPG elements and Mario & Co. will have to fight off Giraffes. This is an overly elaborate way of me saying that the only questions that were really answered is if this game really exists. True we did get insight on the game, but only enough to start asking other questions. Even if I really wanted to know what this game was, I wanted to be surprised at E3, not have it ruined/spoiled for me at some random time of the day. Plus, my E3 Bingo Sheet needs to be adjusted. To sum this up, I want a leak to be a happy accident, not a deliberate ruining of a surprise, which is what this leak is to me unless I hear different. Something that I will not say is that everyone who leaks is a horrible person. That is not true, not everyone who leaks something is a jerk who's trying to ruin a surprise. The point is, some people need to practice patience.

Okay with that rant out of the way, this game looks really cool. From the images alone I can tell this game is going to be funny. I like how this game, and pretty much Nintendo in general, are making Mario and Friends look so expressive and bright, and I love that this game is going to give more personality to these iconic characters. Also, Rabbids cosplaying is adorable.

I will pay $500 to Nintendo if they keep "The Badass Princess".

From what I hear, the game is an Action RPG that takes place in a twisted Mario universe invaded by the rabbids with easter eggs to the mario games. The characters have special laser weapons with unique abilities and playstyles. Along with that, the game is 2-Player Co-Op. I like what I'm reading so far, this game really does seem like a perfect blend of Rabbids & Mario. Something that does concern me is that apparently you don't "directly control the characters" you control a character known as Tutorio, and in my mind that means that when you aren't in a turn based arena controlling the characters, your running around guiding the characters. That is just a theory of mine. I also wonder if other Mario characters will appear and how far will the game go with its merging of the two worlds. There is some small evidence of this because when I saw one of the images I noticed that there was a giant Rabbid with a red tie, similar to that of Donkey Kong. This gives me even more fun ideas of what Bosses could look like, especially Bowser. I also wonder how much of the Mario Universe influences the Rabbids, because so far I've only really seen it vice versa.

Needless to say, I want to see more from this. A picture might be worth a thousand words, but a trailer is worth way more in this case. I cant wait to see this game at E3 and I really am excited for what happens next.

What about you guys? What do you want to see from Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle? How do you feel about it? How do you think the trailer is going to look?

Also, what do you guys think about leaks? Good? Bad? You don't care in the slightest? Leave a comment below, spread your opinion. Your voice matters.

Thanks for reading, and I will catch you next time.
