Ranking Every Wii U Port on Nintendo Switch (2022 UPDATE)

The Wii U had some really good games, and I mean some REALLY good games. From the franchise saving Bayonetta 2, to the new IP of Splatoon, to the new spin on old favorites like Mario Kart 8, Hyrule Warriors, etc. The unfortunate problem with these games is that they were stuck on the Wii U, an underperforming system with a concept that never quite took off.

Flash forward to the Nintendo Switch. A system with a simple yet ingenious concept and Nintendo fans got hooked. I'm talking currently outsold every previous Nintendo Home Console hooked. However, one thing that Nintendo fans noticed since that original trailer back in October of 2016, was the footage of Mario Kart 8 running on Switch. This later turned into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. With that announcement and the success of that port, Nintendo and a few other developers started to take the games that were stuck on Wii U and port them to Switch, sometimes with extra features, updated controls, Quality of Life Improvements, or even new content/DLC.

So today Arza, Shadow, and I are going to look at almost all the major Wii U ports that came to Nintendo Switch and see if they are the new Definitive way to play the games, a Deluxe model of a great game, or just port to help get others to become new fans.

Let's see if these games are Definitive, Deluxe, or Ports.

WERE BACK ON BLOGGER!!

Did you miss us?

So yeah, it's been a minute since I've been here.

ARE YOU GONNA HELP MOVE THESE BOXES AT ALL?!
I'M COMING GIVE ME A MINUTE!

Anyways. No long drawn-out apologies this time, or a long explanation on where I've been as I have done that more than enough, just an honest refresh. I am here to say that, while I did enjoy using this site, updating weebly for everything didn't always work out the way I want it to, and I found it easier to post my initial thoughts and ideas much easier on blogspot than it was an entire website sometimes. Plus keeping track of stats and info wasn't always easy, and honestly wasn't cheap.

TL;DR - The format of my posts, didn't always work for this kind of website builder and I needed to go back to something that does fit that format much better.

I will be transferring some of the posts seen on weebly to blogger with a bit of updates depending on the material. So I hope you like those.

And also, No. I'm not closing the site down. At least not now.

Thank you guys for reading, thank you for all who've been keeping up with this site, and I'll hope you guys stay tuned to the future.

URGENT UPDATE!!!

Today, I'm happy to announce that I recently acquired a new sense of space that will enhance the features of the blog itself. It will also serve the purpose of taking our initiative of developing a strong connection with the fanbase and you ca-

Well, thanks for ruining the fun.

If that's your definition of fun...

Guys come on. Save the banter for a bit later.

Alright here's whats happening. I-

And don't forget the exciting part.

Right...

So real talk. I've been using blogger for a while now and it has served me very well. Honestly, I would recommend blogger to anyone who would want a start there own blog talking about any ideas or thoughts they have. However, as I move forward with this endeavor and as I start to incorporate more ideas and especially incorporating my own comics and art I felt like I needed to go bigger with this blog. Also, nothing will be going away I'll still be doing all of my normal content, just on a new platform.

Our new home will be ntgamepoint.weebly.com. At the time of this post it isn't up yet but will be up on Thursday, February 14th, along with two posts and more updated character bio sheets on your's truly and shadow duo.

"ahem" "ahem"

Speaking of... One of the first posts will be an entirely Arza and Shadow narrated look... At the Top Nintendo Couples. yay🙄

Its gonna be super fun, right Shadow?

Well... If your excited about it, then I'll know it'll be fun. As long as you're happy.

Aww... Your so sweet.

...😠... WE GET IT, YOUR ADORABLE!!

Anyway. See you guys later at the new site. I will update this post with the link when the site goes up. Hope you guys enjoy it.

Micro Reviews #3

There are so many great games out there, but there are some titles that are a bit iffy. So today I'm gonna go through a few of them and give my little review of each to help you figure out what you should play and what you shouldn't. Welcome to Nintendo GamePoint+ Micro Reviews.

These reviews are more simplistic. Covering some of the important points of each game and having the same grading scale, but are smaller compared to the big game reviews. Also, this doesn't mean that the games covered here won't be given big reviews later. This is just a way to talk about some smaller games or give my general opinions on big games that I didn't/haven't given a full review for.

What games do you want to see get reviewed next? Let me know in the comments below and tell me what you thought of these games?

Games
Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee
Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes
Donut County
Bayonetta 2/Original

Grade Scale:
A=Best, B, C, D, F=Worst
(+) - More Positive Elements
(-) - More Negative Elements
Straight Letter - Balanced Showing

The Final Last Chance (10 Wii U Games I Still want on Switch)

To those who don't know, in late 2017 I made a list of 10 Wii U games that I still wanted to see come to Nintendo Switch. Fast-forward to now and not only have some of those games on the list gotten ports to the system, but some have gotten sequels/game equivalents announced. Not to mention, there aren't a lot of Wii U games left that are relevant or worth a port. We may not be scraping the bottom of the barrel, but we are definitely hitting the last stops of the train that is the Wii U Game Library. Even then, there are still some games I want ported that haven't happened yet and some games that have just come to my attention that I didn't put on the previous list. Today we will fix that.

So lets get this list done as it will probably be the last chance I'll ever have to update it. These are my 10 Wii U Games I Still Want on Nintendo Switch.
