What I Want to See in a Super Mario Odyssey Sequel

Super Mario Odyssey was a huge release for Nintendo Switch. It came out the year of the console's Launch and was the first big Mario Platformer for the system. It was an amazing game with fun levels, great characters and designs, unique ideas that weren't in Mario before, awesome spins on pre-existing Mario ideas, overall, it is a great game and still a top recommendation for anyone who owns a Switch.

Now, with the Switch Successor creeping very slowly around the corner, many have speculated on what a new 3D Mario game would be. A sequel to Odyssey? Galaxy? Something entirely new? We don't really know.

So today, I've decided to put in my two cents and go into detail on what I want in a potential sequel to Super Mario Odyssey.

1) Full 2-Player Co-op with Princess Peach as the second playable option. Both play the same, with Mario partnering with Cappy and Peach partnering with Tiara.

2) A reverse of the first game's story. Where in Odyssey we were trying to stop Bowser's evil wedding, here we have to save Mario & Peach's Wedding after its ransacked by the Broodals, the evil bunnies from the first game, mad that they weren't consulted to help with the wedding. Mario and Peach would be traveling in a Magic "Just Married" RV/Van. This time, the main collectible (ie. Stars, Shines, Moons) would be Hearts a la Super Paper Mario.

3) Bring back the galaxy/sunshine level selections. Or make it like a combination of those and Mario 3D World's overworld hub. Full areas to run around and find secrets and then jump into the levels and choose a mission. The first game was a bit "too open" and honestly made it really hard for replaying levels.

4) Bring back the outfit specific missions but make them a bit more substantial. Like full levels, not just "wear this one time and you win". Also have some more unique outfits in general.

5) New idea for the Goomba puzzles, You and/or a friend take control of a male & female goomba and have to reach the center of maze or puzzle. Kinda like the Captain Toad Stages.

6) Something similar to what someone pointed out here, make the capture mechanic a bit broader. Like, the solution shouldn't only be using this one type of enemy. Think like a Kirby game, where there can be multiple "power-ups" to fight a boss.

7) More unique locales. Since this idea is more wedding themed, have more Couples/Honeymoon destinations.

These are just a few ideas I had thought of here.
