...Said nobody ever.
Honestly, I love this thing. I love using those controllers, I love how I am able to play with my friends at school and most importantly, I have soaked in so many hours of Zelda. Now I'm just waiting for Mario Kart.
If you haven't picked one up yet, you totally should. As we get closer to April and more games start to become available there are more reasons to get the Nintendo Switch.
So far I have 3 games for Switch, and I thought I would give you my opinion on them. I am a bit late to the review party for these games but still. So here are some Quick Reviews, I hope you enjoy.
The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - BUY IT! This game is incredible. You have so much freedom in this game from the very start and you aren't bound to one path. BOTW manages to not only keep the Zelda elements that make it unique and fun, but add in new things and change original ideas to make interesting. The game looks amazing on Switch and even Wii U. I do have to mention that playing TV mode on Switch will cause some frame-rate hiccups but they are so minuscule and so few-and-far between, you will NOT CARE. This game has earned all of the praise it has received. Not only is this game an excellent way to start the story of Nintendo Switch, it is a perfect storybook ending to the Wii U. It doesn't matter what system you buy it for, just buy it.
Not only is this a good game to get on a budget it's a great game to play with your friends. SnipperClips is a fun puzzle game that has a unique concept, cutting you and your friends into unique and fun shapes to do things like shoot a basketball, or help flowers grow, or... make even weirder shapes than before. Some puzzles are a bit too easy or even too hard to solve, but the fun also comes in how many ways you can solve the puzzle. The visuals are a highlight. Even though they are very simplistic, they're still very charming and fun to just look at. I'm getting distracted right now looking at how cute the picture above this review is. However one hindrance that this game does have is the multiplayer aspect. You are going to need at least one more friend to fully enjoy this game. The single player is good, but talking out a puzzle with a friend sitting next to you is so much better. If you want a Switch game but don't want to pay $50 for anything but Zelda, this is definitely a good choice.
If SnipperClips isn't quite the multiplayer fun you want look to Fast RMX. A super enhanced port of the hit Wii U indie title this racing game is a very similar to another racing game featuring hover vehicles from Nintendo's past. Needless to say, if you are a fan of F-Zero you will love this game. The game is fun to play and the controls are easy to grasp, although I should have played single player first to properly learn them. Fast RMX, along with SnipperClips, are good examples of how using the Joy-Cons sideways works out very well. Again, Fast RMX has an easy to grasp control scheme, the challenge comes with gorgeous looking race courses. Each one has its own twists, turns and crazy obstacles to race through and a plethora of different vehicles to race in. Each vehicle feels unique to race with, some are more fast but have too much control and some are more heavy harder to knock down but have no control. This game goes on record to have really nice options for multiplayer. The local multiplayer is best, but the online works perfectly fine, although I did find that sometimes people drop out if they weren't fast enough to choose the course they wanted to go to, just a bit odd to me. This might not be Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but it will definitely tide you over till it comes out.
So those are the games I got for Switch, but what about you? What games did you pick up for Switch or what are you going to pick up? Let me know in the comments Anyways, thanks for reading and I'll talk with you later.
Oh, I almost forgot I picked up another game. But...
It's not working yet.
To be Continued...
